At the heart of it all are your hosts, Frank and Marian Sheedy. Having worked all over the world and grown up in the hospitality game, they know exactly how to make people feel at home, with just the right touch of luxury.

The breakfast

They’ve poured their experience and passion into every corner of this bed-and-breakfast. Frank, a classically trained chef, turns mornings into something magical , starting with an extensive breakfast buffet brimming with homemade granola, fresh fruits, and warm, fluffy scones straight from the oven. His handcrafted baked goods change daily, with favourites like brown soda bread, buttery scones, and mini blueberry muffins often making an appearance. Then, choose from a thoughtfully curated à la carte menu featuring dishes made to order, each one carefully prepared using the finest local ingredients.

Local knowledge of Doolin and County Clare

Marian brings her own touch of magic to the experience, running front of house with genuine warmth and ease. She’s always ready to share her local knowledge, whether it’s booking a ferry to the Aran Islands, recommending a hidden trail, or pointing you to the best spot for live music that night. Together, they’ve created a place where every detail — from breakfast to bedtime — is designed to make your stay feel personal, comfortable, and just a little indulgent.

And then there’s Bertie, their Old English Sheepdog and unofficial concierge, who will greet you each morning with a sleepy hello and see you off with a wag of his tail — because no stay at Sheedy’s would be complete without him.
