I don't just recommend staying at Sheedy's if you go to Doolin, I recommend going to Doolin just to stay at Sheedy's I had an absolutely fantastic stay here with my family in December. Marian was a brilliant host and so accommodating even from the beginning of the booking process. When we arrived, we knew from the moment we walked in the door that we were in for a treat. The place was immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and shown to our room. We booked a suite as we were staying with two small children. The kids had their own bed and myself and my wife had, quite literally, the biggest bed I have ever seen. The bedding was super comfortable and, as my wife put it, like a really warm hug. We just sank into it!! During the night the kids joined us in the bed and there was still plenty of room for the 4 of us. I enjoyed one of the best sleeps I've had in my life. Next morning it was up early and down for breakfast. What a treat! There was a wonderful spread of fresh bakes and fruits, poached plums and pears, fresh smoothies and juices. We helped ourselves to this and ordered some cooked dishes too. I had the gourmet breakfast consisting of smoked salmon and pickled beetroot on a fried egg. My wife had the omelette which was cooked to perfection. Although we didn't meet Frank during our stay, his food spoke for itself; it was nothing short of superb. Unfortunately, we only booked in for one night but we will definitely be back the next time we come to Ireland. I have already recommended Sheedy's to everyone who asked about our short trip to Doolin.

What other B&Bs aspire to be 1 Oct 2022 | Reviewed by Jim S The Sheedy's Doolin Boutique B&B is what all B&Bs aspire to be like. Marian and Frank are genuinely nice people. They designed their establishment and saw to every detail, and their many years experience is evident. It is clean, the colors fresh and serene and the rooms (especially the beds) are comfortable. Marian not only suggests the best places to eat but makes your arrangements if you wish. Frank is a chief, and you won't find a better breakfast anywhere. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The morning sideboard always looks like what you would find on a cooking magazine cover. This was not our first stay with them. We love to travel and this is by far our favorite place to stay. The town, the views, the people of Doolin are wonderful, and the Sheedy's B&B makes it the perfect destination.

Sheedy's Doolin ticks all the boxes! Just back from our first visit to Sheedy's Doolin, a new purpose built boutique guest house that ticks all the boxes. We first stayed with Marion and Frank, several years ago at Roadford House, the genuine hospitality, the friendliness and the gourmet breakfasts kept us coming back. Now there is even more reason to keep coming back. Their new guesthouse offers understated luxury, in spacious rooms with great views and large modern bathrooms . Everything has been carefully considered, decor and colours, quality beds and bedding, plush towels, rain head showers, in room tea/coffee and home made cookies, wifi,smart TV, comfortable seating areas etc. The location is perfect in Doolin, being close to Hotel Doolin and Fitz's pub and halfway between O'Connor's and Mc Gann's, you are a short walk from a music fix or a bite to eat. All this combines to make Sheedy's a great choice for a stay in Doolin but what makes it truly memorable is the warm hospitality of the owners, and of course the fabulous breakfast spread and the smiles with which it is served. Can't wait to go back!

What a fantastic place Sheedy's is. That it was our 4th visit tells you how much we love staying there. The friendly hospitality of Marian coupled with probably the best bedrooms I've ever seen in a B&B, keeps us going back. The breakfast: just Wow. Not just the taste but the wonderful layout on the centre table. And for my culinary restrictions of vegan or vegetarian, Frank has often conjured up tasty and beautiful breakfast dishes especially for me, off the cuff. Doolin and surrounding areas are a treat, however Sheedy's is our real reason for repeat visits to west Clare.

Magical Experience I don’t know where to begin this review! Sheedy’s IS a five star boutique B&B with 5 star service in every way. No couple could be more accommodating, professional, warm or genuine than Marian and Frank. From the moment we arrived for our 3 night stay until we left there was absolutely no disappointments. The room and bathroom was impeccable. The location and distance from shops, food and activities is perfect. Breakfast was definitely made and served by a couple who truly are passionate and knowledgeable about food and taste! Marian and Frank obviously love what they do and are proud of the work and love they have put into giving each guest a magical and memorable experience.

Five star bliss! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sheedy’s for two nights, after being greeted by Marian with genuine warmth and humour, we were shown to our lovely room which looked so inviting! Marian and Frank’s passion for what they do is obvious throughout modern B&B which exudes a comfortable relaxed feel with a high level of professionalism. We slept soundly in the peaceful surroundings, enjoyed the good sized bathroom with a lovely skylight to admire the stars and as for breakfast, it was delectable!! Frank’s exemplary chef skills coupled with Marian’s hospitality made for a memorable stay. We highly recommend this wonderful B&B. Congratulations Marian & Frank you should be very proud.

Outstanding !!!!!!! I highly recommended staying with Marian, Frank and Beans! Doolin was our first stop on an 8 day trip and was by far our favorite ! I can’t write enough positive words to describe the stay. Leading up to this trip Marian was extremely helpful communicating via email, once we arrived we felt so welcome and as if we had known her for years. Wonderful hospitality, location was perfect, rooms so comfortable and quiet. Starting off the day with breakfast served up by Frank was absolutely filling and oh so delicious !! Don’t even look anywhere else to stay ....Sheedy’s Doolin is the place - you won’t regret it 5 stars hands down !!!!!

THE WARMEST WELCOME IN IRELAND! I don't have enough superlative words to describe our accommodations, and the wonderfully warm hospitality we received from Marian, Frank, and (of course) Beans, their lovable Setter, earlier this month. Marian is the best host we had of all our stays along our itinerary, and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome! The Sheedys have relocated closer to central Doolin since our first visit with them in 2014, and the new location couldn't be better - within easy walking distance of all the pubs and attractions in the village. But more importantly, the rooms themselves are all modern, well-appointed, with exceptional bathrooms (especially, the shower pressure - a must for my wife!) and the bed was so, so comfortable. To top it off, Frank's breakfast the next morning was exceptional, and the absolute best we had during our 3 weeks in Ireland! All I can say is, book a room at Sheedy's Doolin, and don't think twice. You're about to be spoiled!

Hospitality at its Best! Marian and Frank are the perfect hosts. They couldn't have done any more for me, my wife and our three month old son during our stay! Having spent the earlier part of our holiday in self catering accommodation, we were a bit nervous about spending the last part of our holiday in a B&B with a young baby. We were immediately put at ease when we arrived at Sheedy's. Marian greeted us on arrival and helped bring our bags up to the room. Our room, The Eagles Nest, was beautiful and very spacious. Marian had set up a travel cot for our baby and kindly insisted on washing his bottles each morning! This place is more than just B&B. It is extremely well detailed and it showcases Marian and Franks passion for hospitality, architecture and interior design. The accommodation is first class, the showers are amazing and even though its only a month since our stay, I am frequently nostalgic about the stunning breakfast. Thanks Marian & Frank! We stayed in Sheedys for St Patrick’s Weekend - this is the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in! So impressed by the whole experience - Marian is so welcoming and friendly and nothing is a problem. Such well thought out house design, calm interior decor everything in this house exudes quality and good taste. Spotlessly clean, beautiful bedroom and spacious bathroom - you’ll have the best sleep on the most comfortable bed, crisp white bed linen, feather & down duvets and perfect pillows - Most definitely 5star luxury! Then on to the Pièce de résistance - the renowned breakfast - wow! Such a selection of fresh juices,fruits, cereals, organic yogurts, fresh homemade bread & scones and a fabulous hot breakfast menu to suit everyone! Loved it! We will definitely be back!

Will exceed your expectations! This is Marian & Franks newly built boutique B&B and it is amazing. The rooms are luxurious and the beds are so comfy, you only get out of bed because you know Frank is cooking breakfast. And what a breakfast...I had the rhubarb with ginger and strawberry yoghurt (beautiful) and my husband had the gourmet special of brioche, mushroom, egg, bacon, Wicklow brie and carmelised onion. Everything is to the highest standard. Its 5 star service, with 5 star hosts. Miss this and you miss out !!

Who said you should never go back? A return visit, this time with two very good friends who I had enticed to join me at Sheedy's B&B in Doolin. As my previous review details, Sheedy's is the modern take on an old style B&B. House, rooms and decor all very modern, cleanliness is superb and the welcome and the service is old fashioned in that you're personally greeted at the door and nothing is too much to ask for. A return visit can sometimes highlight things not picked up the first time around leading to slight disappointment...absolutely not the case with Sheedy's...if anything it is even better than I remembered...everything top notch again but the real pleasure is the breakfast every morning - the excitement of the unknown with Frank's daily breakfast special! What culinary delights await you. Don't think about it just go!

There are so many good things I have to say about Sheedy’s… I’m not sure where to start. My husband and I were here for a 2-night stay. Our hosts: Frank and Marian (and Bertie the sheepdog-turned-welcoming-crew) are lovely and gracious. We felt welcome right away. Ahead of our arrival Marian reached out to me to see if we needed any help with restaurant recommendations (we took her up on that). She gave us the skinny of the best two local pubs. Bertie is a joy. He was extremely friendly and even let me throw his kong to him once The accommodations: impeccable. Tastefully decorated, spotless, and spacious. Lovely thick towels, and provided toiletries smelled great. View from our room was beautiful. SmartTV hooked up to Netflix easily. Wifi throughout The breakfast: oh my god the breakfast. I believe Frank is the chef and everything was delicious. In addition to the buffet of baked goods, cereal, and fruit, there was a wide selection of hot freshly prepared dishes. Location: prime. Short drive to Cliffs of Moher and Doolin caves (not a huge fan of the narrow roads, but what are ya gonna do?). Walking distance to shops and pubs. Long story short: you will not be disappointed with Sheedy’s. We plan to return on our next visit to Ireland for a longer stay.

Incredible place! We will recommend this to family and friends and would go back! We've been traveling several weeks and have stayed in multiple BnBs. This is the best by far! The room was huge with a very, very comfortable king size bed. This gem is immaculate. For us bathrooms are important and this have a large shower with spa like water. The sink area was large too. The breakfast was amazing with a so many continental options to choose from and then a 4-star menu for a hot breakfast. Marian and Frank were wonderful and so helpful. They genuinely love what they do and it shows. Don't pass this experience up!

Home from Home - Highly Recommend This place is a little slice of heaven, so much so we typically visit twice a year and wouldn't consider anywhere else. The house is beautiful, cosy, spotless and the welcome you get - lets just say its like coming home, so friendly. The breakfast is out of this world, if you are a foodie then this place is for you.... its 5 star all the way Will be back soon Bertie!!!
